With just a few key ingredients you can make this authentic, bold Cajun seasoning recipe that's more aromatic and flavorful than any pre-made blend. 

Ingredients
 

  • 1 Tbsp paprika
  • 1 Tbsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 Tbsp onion powder
  • 1/2 Tbsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 Tbsp salt
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 - 1 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper, (see note 1)

Instructions
 

  • Combine all ingredients. Store in an airtight container in a cool and dark place.

Notes

Note 1 - Cayenne Pepper: Use 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper for a mild heat, 1 teaspoon for medium heat, and 1 1/2 teaspoons for a good kick of spice.
